The Chief Executive Officer of the now disbanded (UFL)
The Chief Executive Officer of the now disbanded UAE Football League (UFL) has insisted that nothing has changed either for him or his team.
"In the past, I have been on record saying
that things are normal and there have been no changes as far as my work and this goes on a day-to-day basis," Carlo Nohra, CEO, UFL told media after the draws for the new football season on Wednesday.
Time has been a constraint for Nohra and his carefully assembled team ever since the General Authority of Youth and Sports Welfare (GAYSW) directed UFL chairman Dr Tarek Al Tayer to vacate office last month.
Saeed Abdul Gaffar Hussain, also the vice-president of the UAEFA, was appointed to head the Interim Committee.
However, Hussain had to travel to South America to attend a Fifa workshop immediately after that and Nohra has not had the opportunity to sit with the new committee and re-assess objectives.
"The chairman left soon after the committee was appointed and I have not had a chance to sit with him and appraise goals and objectives for the new season.
"I look forward to sitting with the rest of the committee and either rectifying the objectives or do some modifications for the future. But for the moment I can assure you that there are no changes at all. We are preparing to deliver for the next season," Nohra promised.
"The name of the pro-league will change eventually. My staff is all here and we have just delivered yet another draw with the appointed people from the association and things are normal," he added.
