Formula 1 in Abu Dhabi Abu Dhabi - Arab Today Organisers of Formula 1 Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix hosted on Saturday night a grand reception and dinner banquet in honour of heads of delegations, VIP guests, dignitaries and sports leaders and celebrities on Yas Island. H.H. Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, National Security Advisor, and Deputy Chairman of Executive Council of Abu Dhabi, welcomed the high-profile guests to the UAE, thanking them for attending the international race on the Yas Marina Circuit in Abu Dhabi. Sheikh Hazza also and reciprocated cordial talks with the attendees and wished them a pleasant stay in the UAE and good time for watching the race. For their part, the F1 guests expressed their pleasure at being in the UAE to attend the world championship and paid gratitude to the UAE for the warm reception and hospitality. They also lauded the highly professional organisation of the event. Present were H.H. Sheikh Nahyan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation, H.H. Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior, H.H. Sheikh Hamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chief of Abu Dhabi Crown Prince's Court, H.H. Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Khalifa Al Nahyan, Advisor to the UAE President, Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Culture, Youth and Community Development, Sheikh Hamdan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research ,Sheikh Sultan bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan, Chairman of Abu Dhabi Tourism and Culture Authority, and a number of Sheikhs, senior officials, diplomats and F1 family.
