Bahraini player Salman Isa Manama – Ali al-Hosni Bahraini player and international superstar Salman Isa said he does not know his next destination in football, as he hasn’t received any offer from local clubs for the coming season, however that has not made him consider retirement. In an exclusive interview with Arab Today, the Bahraini footballer known as ‘the wing jumper’ revealed that Riffa Club informed him officially that they will not renew his contract for the next season. “A week ago, I received a phone call from a Riffa official saying that they will not renew my contract, giving me the green light for finding a new club. I respect the club’s decision; however, I had never planned for this situation,” the footballer said. When asked if he had received any offers from other local clubs , Isa said “So far I have not received any offers from Bahraini clubs but this is not awkward for me, because it could happen to any other player at any time, and I’m ready to study any offer from any club if it’s serious and appropriate.” “I don’t think of retirement at all, I still have the ability to give more, and I have the ambition and enthusiasm that qualifies me to continue playing football,” added Isa who has represented Bahrain in over 100 international games. Isa is considered one of the most prominent football stars in Bahrain. He played six seasons with al-Arabi Football Club in Qatar, one of the best professional experiences of a Bahraini footballer outside of Bahrain.
