Striker Nabil Daoudi has joined Tetouan Casablanca - Mohammed Khaled? Moroccan striker Nabil Daoudi said his transfer to the Moroccan team Tetouan came after long and careful consideration, especially as he had been given attractive offers by Gulf clubs.? In an interview with Arab Today, the former al-Wakrah striker said he had received several offers from Gulf ?sides, but preferred to return to the Moroccan League in order to catch the attention of the ?Moroccan League’s coach.? “I missed wearing the colours of the national shirt, ?and I want to have the same opportunities as the other Moroccan players,”? Daoudi said. “I’ve waited for a long time to be called, but it didn’t happen so I realised that my ?chances of returning to the National League will be better if I play for a Moroccan team. Therefore, ?I preferred the Moroccan Tetouan offer over the Gulf offers,” he added.? He said he had also received proposals from other Moroccan teams, but chose Tetouan ?because it is a “professional club” in every way? Daoudi, who used to play for Maghreb Association Sportive de Fez, said his experience in the ?Emirati and Qatari Leagues was useful, pointing out that he leaves behind him a legacy of around 200 ?goals.? He added that the only thing that bothered him was the weak presence of the fans and the lack of ?enthusiasm in the Gulf game which “bores the player”, citing it as one of his reasons for moving on.
