Bassant Wagdy Cairo – Gabr Abdel Nour Judo champion Bassant Wagdy won a silver medal in the Junior Open Judo Championship. The championship was held at el-Shams club headed by Egptian trainer Mohamed Magdi and the technical director Taha Abdel Halim. Bassant is now qualified to join the Egyptian national Judo team for youth, sources said. She played a total of four Judo games and won three of them and was defeated in the last game by of Ashab el-Geyad club champion, sources said. Bassant won the Heliopolis club championship defeating El Zhor, Nasr City and Heliopolis clubs. Her trainer Mohamed Magdy was recovering from a shoulder injury and her performance was exemplary.
