Morocco maintains its 74 global Rank in football Casablanca - Abdullah Al Alawi The Moroccan national football team maintained its 74th position in FIFA's global rankings for the month of January. The team was ranked 17th in Confederation of African Football (CAF) rankings ahead of the upcoming African Cup of Nations. Ivory Coast held on to top spot in Africa and were ranked 14th in the global rankings. The Algerian national team was 22nd, while current African Cup holders Zambia were 39th. The Tunisian team was 53rd, while Egypt was 54th. In the Arab rankings, Morocco was 5th, with Algeria holding the top position.
