Major Major General Jibril Rajoub
Jerusalem – Sona Adeek

Major Major General Jibril Rajoub Jerusalem – Sona Adeek Major Major General Jibril Rajoub has won a second term in elections in the Palestinian Football Federation; after beating his rival Jabr Asfour. The election was attended by the Prime Minister Dr Salam Fayyad, along with delegates from the International Federation Primo Carvaro, and AFC James Johnson, a representative of Dr Fayez Abu-aridah, Prince Ali Bin Al Hussein Dr Fayez Abu-aridah, and the Secretary-General of the UAE Football Federation Dr Yusuf Abdullah. Rajoub considered what had been achieved a week before the agreement of Fatah and Hamas, as every reason to put an end to any attempt to manipulate sport in Palestine. He thanked President Abu Mazen and called on the clubs to work on eliminating any division between them. In addition, to keeping sport free from factional, regional and personal agenda. Rajoub stressed establishing a vision related to the status of the player, as the players have become a source of pride for Palestinian sports. He asked the General Assembly to provide all conditions to give the player a level of value and humanity. He pointed that the decision to exclude funds from abroad was for the interest of Palestine. Rajoub announced that he would submit his official resignation in order to review the financial and administrative report of the Federation in his previous term, which was consensually shortened to expedite the elections ceremony.  Immediately after the electoral process and the announcement of the results, Major General Jibril Rajoub delivered a speech before a large crowd of attendees on his success in the elections. He congratulated the Palestinian cause and sports, saying: "What happened is a politician vote that has to do with ethics, values, and belonging. There were attempts to bury the Palestinian sports, and those attempts failed in a democratic ethical process, despite my ability to take another course regardless of the law whether secretly or in public.  However, I wanted to resort to elections."  Rajoub said: "My program is an extension of what I have been doing in the past four years, I will continue to institutionalise the Federation and establish the values and ethics of FIFA and integrity, transparency. The elections have acquired large regional and international attention, which indicates its high value and prestige on the international level. I promise to keep and make sports unify the nation, the people, and the cause, and will not be part of the division.” The last time Palestine participated in a FIFA World Cup qualifying match was in 1930 however it is keen to repeat and even exceed its success at the World Cup tournament in Brazil in 2014.
