Egyptian player Sayed Moawad Cairo – Hossam El Sayed The El Ahly Egyptian club authority has obtained a medical treatment visa for its injured leftback player Sayed Moawad at the Qatari sport academy in Aspire, Doha. Originally the club's medical team, headed by Dr Ehab Ali, was planning to send Moawad to Germany, but due to the complicated visa procedures for Wiesbaden, they decided to send him to the Aspire academy instead. The club physician said: "Moawad is suffering infections in the outer membrane on the sole of his foot, and the injury is not responding to the exercises and water treatment." He was dismissed from the last training session and did not feature in the lineup for the last weekend's African Cup Sunshine football match. The technical director Hossam El Badry is hoping for a rapid recovery so he can join his teammates for the Tunisian Taragie match, in the CAF Champions Leage finals. Ehab Ali said withdrawing Walid Soliman from Sunday's Sunshine Nigerian match was the "the right decision", as the player is suffering an infection in his knee and it may increase if he stresses himself in matches before making a complete recovery. The team players took a two day rest before resuming training, while Soliman will be subject to new medical examinations on his knee to determine his response to treatment and whether he is fit to play. The team goal keeper Ahmed Adel is participating in training without any problems, after an X-ray confirmed he has completely recovered from his infection.
