One person was killed, and 7 others are missing due to bridge collapse in Indonesia's Bogor regency at 10:00 local time (0300 GMT) on Sunday. A joint SAR team has stopped searching the seven people who were drifted following the collapse of 25 meter-bridge across Cihideung River of Cibanteng Village in West Java province's Bogor regency. "Out of 24 people passing the bridge, 1 person was killed, 7 people are missing and 15 are saved," said Sutopo Purwo Nugroho, head of the Center of Data, Information and Public Relation at the National Agency of Disaster Management (BNPB), said in a statement. Executive Head of the Regional Agency of Disaster Management ( BDPB) of Bogor Yos Sudrajat told Xinhua by phone that the seven people drifted are children aged 5-10 years old. "Due to the heavy flow of the river and they are still at young age, it is predicted that their chance to survive is small. However, we still hope for a miracle," said Sudrajat. He said that the incident occurred when they returned from the commemoration of Prophet Mohammed's birth in the campus of the Bogor Institute of Agriculture. He said that collapsed bridge was an emergency one that has not been used for some times. "They just wanted to take a short cut by passing the bridge. Due to the weak condition and burdened by many people at the same time, the bridge was not strong enough to accommodate them," said Sudrajat. He added that the joint SAR team consisting of 98 personnel will resume the search starting at 0700 on Monday (0000 GMT).
