One miner died under the debris and three more miners were hospitalized as a result of a spontaneous discharge of the coal-methane mixture and further rock collapse at the coalmine Shcheglovskaya-Glubokaya in the town Makeyevka in the Donetsk Region in south-eastern Ukraine, the Ukrainian State Service of Emergency Situations reported on Sunday. The incident occurred overnight to Sunday. As many as 130 miners went up to the surface themselves, one of them was hospitalized later in moderately heavy condition with the diagnosis of a heavy mining gas poisoning. The rescuers found a miner dead in the cleanup of the debris, the Ukrainian emergency situation service reported. Two more miners were found alive, they were hospitalized in heavy condition in the Donetsk burns centre. The coalmine was suspended. The reasons for methane discharge are being looked for. The law enforcement agencies began the investigation of the mine incident.
