Heavy rainfall in Myanmar's western Rakhine state has killed 12 people over the last three days, local media reported Monday.
Among the victims were four women and one kid, the Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement was quoted as saying.
Many parts of Myanmar have been facing flood disaster due to heavy rain which started on June 9, (Xinhua) news agency reported.
Earlier in April and May, strong wind across the country claimed 39 lives.
This year's flood in Myanmar is estimated to be worse than last year.
According to U Tun Lwin, retired director general of the Department of Meteorology and Hydrology, the heavy rainfall will continue until Monday.
