Two people have died and another two have been critically injured after an asylum seeker boat with 95 people on board capsized off Australia's Christmas Island, local media reported on Monday.An Australian Customs boat rescued 93 people from the water on Monday after the fishing boat capsized, according to the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC).In a statement, Home Affairs Minister Jason Clare says the rescued have been transferred to Christmas Island."The people will undergo initial health, security and identity checks and their reasons for travel will be established," Clare said.Christmas Island Administrator Jon Stanhope told ABC News 24 that the injured people would be taken to hospital for treatment."The Ocean Protector was approaching the scene at the time the boat capsized," he said."I think it's a very fortunate coincidence that Customs were within the vicinity, and were able to respond very quickly."
