Two International Security Assistance Force troops died Monday when a helicopter crashed in eastern Afghanistan, officials said. The fatal accident was the second ISAF helicopter crash of the day, though no one died in the first incident, CNN reported. Neither accident was the result of enemy fire, though Taliban spokesman Zabiullah Mujahid said the aircraft were shot down and 36 soldiers died. ISAF Capt. Justin Brockhoff said the first helicopter went down during a routine operation. The cause of the second crash was not reported. Meanwhile, a third ISAF service member died Monday in southern Afghanistan during an insurgent attack, ISAF said in a news release.
