At least three people were killed in raging storms that devastated Japan over the weekend, and approximately 40 people received injuries of varying severity, police said. Almost all of Japan was buffeted by strong winds and rains with wind gusts reached 41 meters a second in Hokkaido and in the prefecture of Wakayama almost 33 meters a second. With winds at that speed an adult can not stand. Over the weekend over 200 flights were cancelled due to the bad weather and train service was disrupted all over the country, Voice of Russia reported. Meteorologists warn that the adverse weather in the North of the country may last until Monday night.
