4 injured in German rally accident

Four spectators were injured, one seriously, in an accident in the warm-up Thursday for the German Rally, the German automobile club ADAC said. A wheel flew into the crowd after a Subaru Impreza WRX driven by Peruvian driver Nicolas Fuchs hit a kerb during the so-called rally shakedown near Trier, south-western Germany. According to dpa, four spectators were taken to hospital after the incident on the 4.55-kilometre circuit between Konz and Konz-Kommlingen, rally sponsors ADAC said.
