At least 45 passengers were injured, three severely, when a 75-passenger train derailed near Toronto, Canadian officials announced late Sunday. According to the (CNN), three Via Rail Canada employees were killed Sunday when the train crashed. Michelle Lamarche, a spokeswoman for the railway, described it as a "very sad day for Via." The derailment occurred around Sunday evening in Burlington, about 40 miles southwest of Toronto. The train had been travelling from Niagara Falls. Images from the scene showed at least one carriage lying on its side. It has been reported that the crash has damaged some nearby buildings. An investigation into the cause of the wreck is still under way
