A house fire in Pendleton, Ore., Sunday killed five people, including three children, authorities said. Two other adults got out of the burning home and were flown to a Portland hospital where they were in unknown condition, the East Oregonian in Pendleton reported. The identities of the victims had not been determined and investigators had not determined how the fire started, the newspaper said. The blaze was reported shortly after 6 a.m. PDT and it took until after 7 a.m. before firefighters to get it under control. Pendleton police Lt. Bill Caldera said the people living in the house were members of more than one family.
