Seven army personnel are presumed dead after a helicopter crashed in the north of the town of el Salto in the mountainous state of Durango during a training flight, Mexico’s Defense Department said.
In a statement, the department said that one soldier was found seriously wounded at the scene while the bodies of the rest of the victims were believed to be in the wreckage of the craft, Sky News channel reported on Saturday.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
