9 killed in traffic accident in northern Turkey

Nine people were killed and three others were injured in a traffic accident in northern Turkey on Tuesday, the semi-official Anatolia news agency reported. A truck and a minibus collided in Turkey's northern province of Gumushane, making two vehicles flip over into a stream bed, Gumushane Mayor Yusuf Mayda was quoted as saying. "Two of the injured were taken to a hospital in Erzincan province for medial treatment and work is still under way to rescue the driver of the truck, who is trapped inside the vehicle, " Mayda said.
