The 32-year-old man who admits killing 77 Norwegians in a bombing-shooting rampage likely had plastic surgery to look more Aryan, a police official suggests. Anders Behring Breivik, who decried multiculturalism in Europe in an online manifesto, could not have had his blond hair, blue eyes and chiseled features naturally, Janne Kristiansen, head of the Norwegian Police Security Service, comparable to the FBI, told The Sunday Times of London. "You do not have that Aryan look naturally in Norway," Kristiansen asserted. "[World War II German Nazi leader Adolf] Hitler would have had him on posters. He has the perfect, classic Aryan face. He must have had a facelift." Kristiansen's assertion was published the same day Britain's Sunday Telegraph quoted a former school friend of Breivik as saying Breivik, boasted in the late 1990s he had plastic surgery to look more Aryan after befriending "a group of people obsessed with their bodies." "I remember we were at a party, and he told me he had had his nose and chin operated on by a plastic surgeon in America," the unidentified friend told the newspaper. Separately, Breivik does not appear to have been insane when he carried out the July 22 attacks, Tarjei Rygnestad, who heads the Norwegian Board of Forensic Medicine, told The Daily Telegraph in Monday's editions. The attacks were so carefully planned and executed that it would be difficult to argue they were the work of a delusional madman, Rygnestad said.
