A Makalu Airplane skidded off the runway at Talcha airport in Mugu district, west of Nepal, on Monday evening. The airplane, with 11 people on board, caught on fire after skidding off the runway. The pilot captain of the airplane was seriously injured in the mishap while two passengers sustained minor injuries, according to local media Republic.com. The brakes of the plane did not work during landing, Republic. com reported, citing Chief District Office Surya Bahadur Khatri. Security forces and locals have put off the fire on the front of the plane after the mishap, a team of paramedics from the District Hospital has arrived at Talcha for treatment of the injured.
