At least 19 were killed and 14 others seriously injured in a traffic accident in northern Madagascar, local hospital resources said on Monday. The road crash occurred on Sunday in Ambanja, a town 856 km northwest of the capital Antananarivo. The "Centre Medico-Chirurgical Saint Damien" of Ambanja told Xinhua by telephone that four of the victims were killed on the spot, while 15 others stopped breath at the hospital of Ambanja. The hospital said the driver of the bus died on the pot during the accident. The bus from Antananarivo carrying passengers hit a lorry it the village of Anjiabory, 19 km away from Ambanja. Initial investigation by local police revealed that the collision happened when both vehicles were speeding at a curve.
