At least 30 people died when a fuel tanker crashed into a number of vehicles and burst into flames outside the town of Naivasha in Kenya late on Saturday.
The driver had lost control of the fuel tanker while going downhill on the road from the capital of Nairobi to Naivasha late Saturday, then crashed into other vehicles and burst into flames.
At least 12 other vehicles including a van also caught fire, according to security sources.
Rescue efforts were hampered by the fact that doctors and nurses have been on strike for five days in a bid to press their demands for higher wages.
