At least six people, including two children, were killed and at least 12 others were injured Saturday amid heavy rains in Karachi, Pakistan, officials said. Three people died of electrocution in Karachi's Malir Town, Defence morh and Paposh Nagar areas, Dawn News reported. No details were reported on how the victims were electrocuted. One person was killed in a traffic accident in the city's Qayyumabad locality. One of the children who died drowned in a ditch in Karachi's Sakhi Hasan neighborhood, and the other died when the roof of an apartment collapsed in the city's Gulzar Hijri area. Twelve people were injured when the roof of a gas station collapsed. People were gathered under the roof to shelter themselves from the heavy downpours. The rain caused power outages in parts of the city and made roads dangerous for motorists.
