Some 150 foreigners, detained during mass riots in Britain earlier this month, will be deported from the country “at the earliest opportunity,” Daily Mail reported quoting Immigration Minister Damian Green. Among some 2,800 rioters detained by police for looting and arson attacks, about 150 people were not born in Britain. “We strongly believe that foreign national lawbreakers should be removed from the UK at the earliest opportunity,” Green was quoted as saying. “We also have the power to cancel the visas of foreign nationals found guilty of criminal activity, and this is something we will be looking to do when cases arise,” he added. Riots and looting hit several British cities, leaving over 100 police officers injured on August 6-10. The disturbances were triggered by the shooting dead of London resident and suspected drug dealer Mark Duggan.
