A passenger bus skidded off a road in central Nepal early Tuesday and plunged into a river, killing at least 11 people, authorities said. Nepal's Himalayan newspaper reported at least 20 more passengers were injured in the crash in Mahesh Khola of Dhading. Nine of those killed were men and the other two women. The bus was heading to the Nepalese capital of Kathmandu from Butwal on the Prithivi Highway when the accident occurred, the Press Trust of India news agency reported. Those injured were hospitalized in Kathmandu. Rescue operations were continuing at the scene, China's Xinhua News Agency reported.
