A Chinese fisherman died on Tuesday from injuries suffered during a raid by the South Korean coastguard on ships suspected of illegal fishing in South Korean waters, media reports said, according to DPA. South Korea's coastguard at 3 pm (0600 GMT) seized 30 Chinese boats including a 100-ton ship that were illegally fishing off the south-western coast of South Korea, the Yonhap News agency reported officials as saying. An unknown number of crew were arrested. One fisherman was hit with a rubber bullet as South Korean coast guards tried to subdue the Chinese fishermen who reportedly used knives and scythes in the melee, the media reported. The 44-year-old fisherman was hosptialized and reportedly died at 6:00 pm
