Daesh No 2 leader aka Abu Hamza Riyadiyat was killed in a drone raid on the Syrian city of Raqqa, field sources said.
Abu Hamza is in charge of the Daesh investigation department in Syria and the head of the educational department of the organization, Sky News Channel reported on Wednesday, quoting the sources.
Earlier in the day, the Syrian local coordination committees said the death toll of Tuesday's shelling and clashes nationwide reached 31.
Russia shelled parts of Rif Homs and Rif Idlib.
Syrian activists said the Syrian Democratic Forces took over several villages in western Rif Raqqa after clashes with Daesh militants.
