Heavy torrential rains hit the Chinese Capital, Beijing, last Saturday resulting in 37 fatalities according to recent statistics released.
Some of the victims succumbed as a result of houses collapsing, some otheres were killed by thunderbolts, meanwhile others were accidentally electrocuted.
The Chinese capital, Beijing, witnessed last Saturday its heaviest rainstorm unsurpassed in recent history throughout the last six decades. Average rainfall reached 170 millimeters. The latest rainstorm resulted in power outages in some parts of the capital city. (IY)
