Fire in a nightclub on the Thai island of Phuket killed four people and injured 11 early Friday, medical officials said. The officer leading the investigation of the blaze at the Tiger Pub said initial indications pointed to a transformer catching fire near the club in Patong, the main tourist city on the island, CNN reported. "I am interviewing many witnesses so I can't conclude the exact cause until I gather more information and evidence," Patong Police Lt. Col. Jongserm Preecha said. Medical officials said the bodies of the four people killed were burned so severely it couldn't immediately be determined if they were Thais or foreign tourists. Seven Thais and four French nationals were hospitalized. Forensic experts were called to help identify the dead.
