Fire was extinguished at a thermal power plant substation in the city of Mytishchi northeast of the Russian capital, a spokesman for Moscow Region emergencies service said on Wednesday. The alert about fire was received at 3:20 GMT, and nine firefighting units were sent to the building, where about 25 metric tons of fuel were stored Russia''s News Agency (RIA Novosti) reported.
