Georgians in the port city of Batumi took just a minute and a half to eat a giant eight-meter Adzharian khachapuri - a version of the traditional Georgian cheese-pie with egg on top of the cheese. "The giant khachapuri was brought to Batumi Boulevard," said Bayya Salukvadze, one of the organisers of the event. "The khachapuri was eaten in 1 minute 33 seconds, not even giving us an opportunity to cut it," she continued, adding that 400 or 500 people tried it. The khachapuri was prepared in parts, which were then joined together. Some 200 kilograms of flour, 30 kilograms of butter, 1,000 eggs and 100 kilograms of cheese were used to cook the khachapuri.
