Oslo - UPI

A group of Norwegian teen computer hackers claimed they opened e-mails sent by accused killer Anders Breivik, which were then passed to police. The hackers turned over correspondence containing details about Breivik's contacts and private life to the freelance Norwegian journalist, Kjetil Stormark, who then handed the material to police, The Independent reported Thursday. Breivik has said he is responsible for July's devastating bombing in downtown Oslo and shooting attack on youths attending a political summer camp on a nearby island in which 77 people died. "The [e-mails] show some of the activity and contacts made by the perpetrator in the weeks and months leading up to the terror attacks. They also tell a tale about his private life," Stormark said. Police have been investigating Breivik's claims that he did not act alone when planning the July 22 attacks in downtown Oslo and on the Norwegian Labor Party youth camp on Utoya Island. Norwegian police said Breivik also made references to having filmed his killing spree, Sky News reported. "We have information from his manifesto and from earlier interrogations indicating that he did have a camera," Oslo police lawyer Christian Hatlo said. "We are looking for his camera but have not found anything so far."
