A helicopter crashed in Arizona and authorities said there appeared to be no survivors. The Yavapai County Sheriff's Office said the crash occurred in late morning near Interstate 17 near Cordes Junction, KPHO-TV, Phoenix, reported. Sheriff's spokesman Dwight D'Evelyn said witnesses saw the helicopter, registered to an owner from the Phoenix area, go down in smoke and flames, UPI reported Saturday. He said ground crews at the scene reported no survivors, but it was unclear how many people were on board. The (Phoenix) Arizona Republic reported the Federal Aviation Administration confirmed the aircraft was privately owned and was a UH1 model.
