One person was killed and another was wounded as the Indian Border Security Forces (BSF) violated the ceasefire at the Line of Control (LoC) in the Pakistani side of Kashmir on Monday. An official said Indian BSF opened unprovoked fire and used mortar shells in Kotli and Chrikot sector of Kashmir killing a youth and wounding his sister. The Pakistani security forces guarding the borderline returned fire. A number of houses were damaged as the Indian forces used mortar shells in Donga Gambhir area and Battal sector. Earlier, on Sunday, Pakistan accused the Indian forces of opening unprovoked fire on a Pakistani Rangers' check post in the Sialkot sector but no causality was reported. According to the state television PTV, Pakistan Rangers returned fire and called for an investigation into the incident. Earlier, on August 8, Pakistani military officials said that Indian troops opened unprovoked fire and seriously wounded a male civilian along the Line of Control (LoC) in the Pakistani side of Kashmir. The Kashmir issue has been a major motive of clashes between India and Pakistan in the past, but the recent tension arose as India accused the Pakistan Army of being involved in the killings five of its soldiers in the Indian side of Kashmir. The allegation was denied by Pakistan's foreign Office, and military leadership declared it "baseless." Pakistan has also condemned the aggression by the Indian protestors targeting its High Commission in New Delhi. Moreover, Indian protesters also stopped the Dosti bus (friendship bus) traveling from New Delhi to Lahore City on Friday, chanting slogans against Pakistan
