Kelly Hildebrandt and Kelly Hildebrandt, a married couple who made international headlines in 2009 for having the same names, have filed for divorce. The Hildebrandts, who met via Facebook in February 2009, have been separated since March, with an official divorce, filed last year, still pending, WTVJ-TV, Miami, reported. "How do they term it at the courthouse? Irreconcilable differences, that is what I would say," male Kelly said. "We gave it our best shot." "She's a Florida girl, and I'm a Texas guy," he said. "We really did come from pretty different worlds." The two met offline after having online exchanges for about three weeks that started when female Kelly sent male Kelly a note on their shared name. They hit it off immediately and got engaged. Their story made national and international headlines when they appeared on the "Today Show," "Inside Edition," and Fox News. They were married on Oct. 11, 2009. Male Kelly has since moved back to Texas "That's where all my connections are. It's been really great since I got back," he said. Female Kelly's mother said in a statement: "Yes, I am sorry to say they have separated. I am happy to say they have remained good friends and are both doing well."
