Six people were confirmed dead and nine others injured after their minibus careened off a mountain road on Sunday in central Hubei Province, local authorities said on Monday. The seven-seat minibus, with 15 people on board, plunged into a 100-meter-deep ravine at around 8 a.m. in Jianshi county of Enshi Tujia and Miao autonomous prefecture, said a spokesman with the county government. The injured, who are receiving treatment in local hospitals, are in a stable condition now, said the spokesman. The local government has launched an investigation. No further details are as yet available.
