Nigerian Army Thwarts Boko Haram Attack

Nigeria's armed forces have successfully thwarted an attack by Boko Haram group in the Borno region, killing 16 militants and recovering their arms and ammunition, the army's press service said in a statement.
The Army said in a the statement that Troops of Operation LAFIYA DOLE at harbour in Kangarwa yesterday successfully repelled suspected remnants of Boko Haram attack.
The troops killed 16 of them and recovered arms and ammunitions from them," the statement published Monday reads.
