An Oklahoma woman faces 25 years in prison after being convicted of the second-degree murder of her husband by pushing him through a window. Amber Hilberling, 21, was found guilty Monday, the Tulsa World reported. Joshua Hilberling, 23, fell 17 stories from the couple's 25th-floor apartment at the University Club Tower in Tulsa in 2011, landing on a parking garage. Amber Hilberling testified as the weeklong trial drew to a close that she acted in self-defense, and her lawyers argued she did not intend a fatal fall but that the plate glass in the window was unsound. Prosecutors said Joshua Hilberling was a victim of domestic violence, pointing to an earlier incident in which he obtained an order of protection, saying his wife threw a lamp at him. Amber Hilberling, who is to be formally sentenced in April, was seven months pregnant when she killed her husband and now has a toddler son. Jurors rejected an alternative verdict of first-degree manslaughter. The jury recommended a 25-year sentence and a $10,000 fine.
