The death toll from a plane crash in north-western Russia rose to 47 on Sunday after one of the passengers who survived the disaster died of his injuries in hospital.
The victim, who was not named, had "burns incompatible with life," Andrei Alexeyev, head of the burns ward of Moscow's Vishnevsky Institute of Surgery, told RIA Novosti.
Russian authorities said the crash may have been caused by pilot error in bad weather.
The RusAir Tupolev Tu-134 plane, with 43 passengers and nine crew on board, crashed in a motorway on Monday after veering away from the airport runway at its destination in Petrozavodsk, the main city in the Karelia region.
Initially eight people including a 10-year-old boy survived the crash. The boy died in a Petrozavodsk hospital on Wednesday.
A female victim, who had burns to 60 percent of her body, died in hospital earlier on Sunday. (*)
