Manama - QNA

Tropical Storm Kai-Tak on Thursday blew out of the Philippines, leaving seven dead and more than 10,000 people displaced, the government's disaster response agency said. Kai-Tak caused floods up to 1.5 metres deep and several landslides, burying a mine and blocking off major highways in the northern Philippines, the Office of Civil Defence said. Three victims drowned, two miners died in the mine, one man was hit by a falling tree and another was electrocuted, the agency said. The storm forced 10,650 residents to flee their homes and stay in evacuation centres in seven northern provinces, the agency said.
