Thirty-eight people have been killed in two explosions outside a football stadium in Istanbul, Sky News quoted Turkey's interior minister as saying on Sunday.
At least one of the blasts was caused by a car bomb and targeted a riot police bus directly outside the Besiktas stadium, Suleyman Soylu said.
He later said it was believed that a suspected suicide bomber had struck Macka Park, next to the stadium, also known as the Vodafone Arena.
There has been no claim of responsibility but Deputy Prime Minister Numan Kurtulmus said that the outlawed Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) may be behind the attack.
All but two of those killed were police officers stationed outside the stadium. Another 166 people were wounded in the blasts.
