At least two men were killed and a woman was carried to hospital with serious burns on Wednesday morning after a house fire in Kyoto Prefecture, western Japan, local press reported. The fire broke out at a family-owned house in Muko City of the prefecture at around 5:30 a.m. local time and was tackled by local firefighters from the city's fire department, according to the report. The report said that the firefighters put out the fire by 7:30 a. m. but they found the bodies of two men inside the two-story wooden house, and a 48 year-old woman was treated for burns in a nearby hospital. Although the victims have yet to be officially identified, they are believed to be members of the same family occupied the house. A joint police and fire department investigation is carried out to establish the cause of the blaze.
