The Arab League today hailed the efforts exerted by H.H. Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, Chairwoman of the General Women's Union (GWU), Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation (FDF) and President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood in the field of supporting Arab Women and promoting their conditions in various domains and named her " Mother of Humanity-Mother of the Arabs."
In her remarks to the Emirates News Agency, WAM, in Cairo, Inas S. Mekkawy, Head of Women, Family and Childhood Department in the League of Arab States emphasised that the Arab League's honouring of Sheikha Fatima by conferring upon her "The Pendant of Family Happiness" was in recognition of her role in supporting women issues and promoting their conditions, highlighting her pioneering role in empowering the Arab women and protecting childhood as well as for being the Head of the current edition of the Arab Women Committee meeting held at the Secretariat General of the Arab League.
The Pendant was conferred on Sheikha Fatima by the Arab League and Arab Family Organisation in recognition of her initiatives as a patron of the UAE and Arab families and her diligent and humanitarian efforts in addressing the Arab women and children issues, and ensuring family welfare.
