Sara Moatamid
Rabat - Rachid Bougha

Sara Moatamid Rabat - Rachid Bougha Sara Moatamid has been crowned Miss Morocco 2012 in a big ceremony held at Mazagan Resort Beach in al-Jadida. The 19-year-old student from Casablanca studies at l’ENCG (École Nationale de Commerce et Gestion) and speaks five languages: Arabic, French, English, German and Spanish. She was quoted by Moroccan media as saying that she followed a balanced diet combined with regular sport exercises, adding that her ambition was to establish an organisation that would provide training for young people who were unable to continue their education. The new Miss Morocco will need to establish an association that can benefit society. Sara will engage in voluntary work through the establishment of an association to train youth who have not benefited from normal schooling. Fifteen contenders took part in the Miss Morocco 2012 competition, held in the luxury Mazagan beach resort on the Atlantic coast. Five of them were then selected for the final round of the competition and Moatamad, from the city of Casablanca, was named Miss Morocco 2012. The Miss Morocco ceremony included the normal pageant segments, including evening gowns, except the swimsuits which was replaced with a Moroccan traditional gowns segment in an attempt to respect Moroccan traditions Sara will be representing Morocco at the Miss World pageant, which will be held later this year in Ordos, China. Morocco did not participate for years and this year is considered its first comeback; the last Moroccan to compete at Miss World was Zakia Chamouch in 1968.
