Director of AJA Muna Bu Samra Dubai - Arab Today The General Secretariat of the Arab Journalism Award (AJA) announced today the completion of the selection process of eligible entries for the 13th edition. The selection committee has closed the door for receiving new submissions on 7th January. Muna Bu Samra, Director of the Arab Journalism Award, said that the selection committee had played a significant role in selecting entries in line with strict criteria to ensure quality of these works and their compliance with rules and conditions set out by the award. She added that more details on the type and size of shortlisted works would be unveiled within the next two weeks. Members of the committee noted the quality of the received works, adding that they had addressed and covered the key political, economic, social, sports and technological events and several scenes inspired from the pulse of the Arab street. Established in 1999 on the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, the Arab Journalism Award rewards talent, inspires excellence, and motivates creativity.
