Iraqi media presenter Sahar Abbas Jamil
Baghdad - Najla al-Taie

Iraqi media presenter Sahar Abbas Jamil revealed that she was threatened by the channel in which she works in, to abandon the issues of the homeland.

"This is the decision to end my services in the channel, which is the first blessing of the war that is being waged by some men," Jamil said in a statement posted on her Facebook page.

She expressed her concern about the future of Iraq and its people after what happened with her by some of Iraq's sons.

"I want to say to those who insulted me that I will remain the daughter of the great Iraq, the daughter of the Shiites, Sunnis, Christians, Sabians, Yazidis, Shabaks, the daughter of the Arabs, the Kurds and the Turkmans, " she added.

Sahar Abbas is the presenter of Iraqi TV shows who was working in Al Taghier Channel. She also is the daughter of the Iraqi artist Abbas Jamil. She graduated from the College of Information at the University of Baghdad in Jadriya. She received the title of best media presenter for 2010 and 2011.
