Writer, Jihad Al-Khazen
Cairo – Wafaa Lotfy

Writer, Jihad Al-Khazen revealed that former president Hosni Mubarak saw Muslim brotherhood as terrorists and they couldn’t rule, and he believed that youth revolution was just a rebellion and he certainly didn’t order their killings.

He said that he asked Mubarak to write his diary, and he never heard him say that he wanted Gamal Mubarak to succeed him, and even Gamal didn’t suggest anything implies such wish. He added that it wasn’t an Arab spring, but more like an autumn caused the death of all what is green, and yet he could have welcomed the end of Arab regimes that are not democratic like, Muammar Gaddafi, who ordered his intelligence director to kill him just because he corrected a word Muammar pronounced it wrong.

He confirmed that President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi’s visit to US was successful and it is clear that Donald Trump admired and respected Al Sisi, adding that the presence of Al Sisi, King Abdullah II and Mahmoud Abbas in Washington was just a coincidence. He added that Trump wants to solve the conflict between Palestine and Israel, but his ambitions is bigger than his abilities, as Israel is a powerful ad dangerous government.

He talked about the American military intervention in Syria and he is not fully sure if the US will continue intervening because this will cause a huge conflict with Russia, but he doesn’t expect any military clashed between them, because no one wants another world war.

He said that Barak Obama had good intentions, but he didn’t carry out anything he promised at the beginning of his term, and he supported Muslim
brotherhood during their regime, on the other hand he believes that Trump can’t be trusted, but he probably will be better in dealing with Arab countries.
He added that the good relations between Egypt and Saudi Arabia are the basis of cooperation, and the benefits of such relations will be reflected on the whole nation.

He also wished that Qatar would change her policy in dealing with brotherhood, and he can’t criticize ant leaders as he knows all of them, but he complains about Al Jazeera TV and accused it of being unrealistic about Muslim brotherhood.
