Model of butterfly park Dubai - Arab Today The first butterfly park in Dubai will open in two weeks, housing nearly 35,000 butterflies, Emirates 24|7 can reveal. Built at the cost of Dh35 million in Miracle Garden, Dubailand, the park has nine domes, spread across an area of 50,000 square feet. "We will be opening the butterfly park in next two weeks. We will have 35,000 butterflies, of all breeds and fancy colours, living in their natural habitat in these domes,” Farhan Shehzad, Project Manager, Akar Landscaping Services and Agriculture, developer of Miracle Garden, told this website on the sidelines of Arabian Travel Market (ATM) 2014. The developer claims the park is the second largest in the world after Malaysia. "The lifespan of butterflies is between 14 and 26 days. Since we have to have 35,000 butterflies, we will be breeding pupae at our facility in Al Ain. We also have research experts who will be monitoring the butterflies and their lifespan,” Shehzad disclosed. In February 2013, Dubai Municipality said phase one of Dubai Safari will include a butterfly park, golf course, entertainment and recreational facilities. Visitors will have to pay a separate fee to visit the butterfly park. The fee hasn't been fixed yet. Currently, the entry fee to Miracle Garden is Dh30. Miracle Garden opened its door to the public in November 2013 with attractions such as a UAE floral flag, a floral clock, large structures of sunflowers, seven flower hearts, seven stars and huge flowers made with 3D art design.
