Over 200 flights have been canceled or postponed for an indefinite time due to a strike of baggage handlers in the Brussels airport. Flights to Moscow and St. Petersburg take place according to the schedule, press service of Zaventem Airport told TASS on Friday.
"Over 200 flights have already been canceled, rerouted or postponed for a long period on Friday. Flights of the Russian air carrier Aeroflot to Moscow and from Moscow and the ones of Belgian Brussels Airlines to Moscow and St. Petersburg are actually unaffected by now. Just minor delays are possible," the press service says.
Baggage handlers stopped work on Thursday evening, demanding improvement of social conditions of work.
The Brussels international airport services up to 800 flights daily.
